FanSided and Site5 Give Back

The holiday season is very quickly approaching and while Thanksgiving has already passed and we have given thanks to the number of things that we all have to be thankful for in our lives, Christmas is still on its way and is right around the corner.

Well, to get things going and get everyone in the giving mood, FanSided has partnered with Site5, the hosting company that we are ever so thankful for every day that our site is up and running, to raise money for an excellent cause – the Boys and Girls Club of America.  We are happy to put forth and promote such an excellent cause, especially an organization that provides such a safe place for young children…and encourages sports!

We are giving back and ask that you do as well.  It doesn’t have to be a huge donation that you honestly can’t afford – we understand the holidays are coming and you have to get those kids of yours something special – so just a small donation of about $5 or even $10 will do wonders.  All in all, we are trying to reach a goal of $5,000 in donations, which FanSided and Site5 have already donated the first 10%.

So all of you loyal readers, help FanSided and Site5 by making a donation to the Boys and Girls Club of America and thank them for their wonderful organization and what they do for our communities.  You can click this link to donate – remember, it doesn’t have to be a large amount, a few dollars will do more than you think you will.

Now, what is it that I’m thankful for?  Let’s see:

  • That even though the Texas Rangers didn’t win the 2010 World Series, they did make it there to be their first-ever Fall Classic appearance.
  • Ian Kinsler and C.J. Wilson. 🙂 (gotta bring that girl in me out!)
  • The Yankees aren’t just giving in to Derek Jeter – I despise that guy!
  • Most importantly, my amazing family, friends and the opportunity to be part of the FanSided Network.

Now that you know what I’m thankful for – what are you thankful for this holiday season?
