Well, I was wrong. Last night I wrote that a return for Guerrero to the Rangers is the next move for the 2010 AL champs. But as Anthony Andro of the Dallas Star-Telegram tweeted last night that the Rangers are no long pursuing the 36 year old former MVP, it seems that that is just not the case.
If the report is true, it appears that Josh Daniels & Co. are comfortable slotting Michael Young in as the team’s DH. Nothing against Young, who is a solid hitter, but I would much rather trade Young and go after a legitimate power threat. If this is true or not remains to be seen, but if Young is the team’s DH or not come April, the Rangers offense will be one of the top in all of baseball.
