Vote for AL West as the Best AL All-Division Team Roster

facebooktwitterreddit

Hey guys! First off, I want you to know that I’ve been sick, as has the rest of my family, so I haven’t been contributing on the site. That’s fixing to change – I’m still a bit under the weather, but definitely getting back so I’ll be back to posting every day before you know it. Enough about me, though, on to the good news…

At the beginning of February, I announced about an AL All-Division team. All four of the FanSided sites in the American League West – Swingin A’s, Halo Hangout, Sodo Mojo and us at Nolan Writin’ – came together and compiled a roster consisting of the best players from all four of the teams – Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Angels, Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners.

Well, all of the American League divisions have compiled their own rosters and it’s now time to decide which division in the American League has the best roster….but we need your help! We want to know who you – the best readers in the world – think deserves to win the title of The Best AL All-Division Team. Head on over to Call to the Pen and vote now.

The voting will last all week so be sure to direct everyone you know to the link to vote. Not to be stingy or anything, but you better vote for the American League West! Just kidding – vote for the team that you think is best.  You can see an outline of the teams below before you head over to CttP.

At the end of the week, the votes will be tallied and the winning team will face-off against the best NL All-Division team that FanSided voters voted for in a “World Series.” For the record, FanSided voters chose the NL East team as the winner, obviously with a VERY strong pitching rotation, which is as follows:

NL East:
C Brian McCann
1B Ryan Howard
2B Chase Utley
SS Hanley Ramirez
3B Ryan Zimmerman
OF Mike Stanton
OF Jason Heyward
OF Jayson Werth
SP Roy Halladay
SP Cliff Lee
SP Roy Oswalt
SP Josh Johnson
SP Tommy Hanson
RP Ryan Madson
CP Francisco Rodriguez

With such a strong pitching rotation in the lineup for the National League, it’s safe to say that you definitely need a strong offense in the AL roster, but you also need incredible pitching. I won’t say the AL West has the best offensive structure, but it is decent; however, I do believe that the AL West does have the best pitching rotation from start to finish. Sound off in the comments below on who you think is best and why – and click right now to vote because I think the AL West may need your help to win over the AL East as they probably have the most solid and balanced lineup offensively and defensively.
