If it were up to me, Davis starts at 1B I think he earned it.

C’mon Chris! Positive attitude? In the same interview you announce that you want to be traded? Who do you think you are, Michael Young?

1. If possible, players should not request to be traded.
2. If they feel they must request to be traded, players should not announce to ESPN that they are requesting to be traded.
3. If they feel they must announce to ESPN that they are requesting to be traded, they should NOT talk about their “good attitude” while they are telling the press that they want to be traded.

That being said, Davis is a great player defensively and has the potential to be great offensively. I would hate to lose him in case Moreland gets injured or hits a long slump.

The Rangers may shop him once the trade deadline approaches much later this year. The Rangers will likely be in the position of adding another piece or two before the playoffs and giving up Davis for another arm or to fill a need would make sense. I doubt he will be traded before April, which is probably what he wants.

I’ve watched Chris Davis for a couple of years now…One of the best defensive 1st baseman in the league.. This is going to be the year that Chris puts together a consistent offensive game..So much potential..A 40HR season is in the offing; whether with Texas or somewhere else..Personally; Chris Davis is one of my favorite players on the Rangers and I hope they can keep him.. Another Adrian Gonzalez waiting to happen…
