Chevrolet’s Line Drive to Round Rock: Tonight’s Exhibition

facebooktwitterreddit

This afternoon I will embark on a road trip to Round Rock to see the Texas Rangers play the Round Rock Express the Rangers’ Triple-A affiliate in the last game before the season opener against the Boston Red Sox Friday. Going on the trip will be myself, Patrick McCullough of Rangers Fan Radio Live who was nice enough to have me on last week, Joshua McMurray you can find his blog here and his Tumblr page, and Joe Siegler from RangerFans.com which has a seat-selector so you can see the view from any section and a detailed history of every uniform number (did you know Mark Teixeira wore number 10? check out his site for the scoop). Needless to say three other guys much more qualified than I to be on this trip.

They leave from Arlington noon-ish and will pick me up along the way in Waco and we should arrive at the ballpark around 4 or so. We will attend the game (in section 121 at the Dell Diamond if you want to come say hi), and then participate in a taped round-table segment regarding the upcoming season.

This is an amazing opportunity to get to see the Rangers and chat with other rabid Rangers fans, and I am lucky to have been selected.  You can expect plenty of pictures from me as I plan on getting some during batting practice and the game, and I will have a full breakdown of the game as soon as I get back to the hotel that evening.

Thanks again to Chris Wilson and all the folks at Chevy for hosting this, keep an eye on my twitter account @RangerDanger85 for updates throughout the game, and please come say hi if you are at the Dell Diamond tonight!

— Also a very special thank you to Nolan Writin’ Lead Writer Stacy Smith who was originally invited but deferred to me as a result of her not being able to go. I owe you big time!
