Hamilton to Swing Today

ESPN reported that Josh Hamilton will swing a bat today. The 29-year-old has now been cleared to start swinging at bats off a tee. This coming after he sustained a fracture in the upper part of his right arm after sliding into home in a game against Detroit.

What’s great about this is that it is apparently an entire week early. Therefore, he’s ahead of his rehab schedule, which means he may very well be able to get back to the team sooner than we had initially thought.

However, we’ll have to wait and see how it goes today although there is still no concrete timetable for the outfielder’s return to the team. For now, he remains on the DL and the recovery could still take up to eight weeks.
