Yankees 4, Rangers 1: Short Frustrated Recap

This was a tough one to watch tonight, I have to keep reminding myself that this a long season. The Rangers offense couldn’t get anything together last night aside from an RBI single from Julio Borbon.

The offense was horrible, the top four batters in the order all went 0 for 4. Thats right…Kinsler, Andrus, Young, and Beltre, all spaced out at the plate.

I blame this guy who threw out the first pitch.

Matt Harrison didn’t give this game away either. He was beat up early in the game but only allowed four hits and three runs. Over six innings of work he threw 119 pitches. Mark Lowe had his first action since being called up and allowed two walks but no hits or runs.

All in all, I’m ready to forget this one and move on to Saturday. Derek Holland takes the mound against Bartolo Colon. If the Rangers lose this one, their record will fall to 17-17.
