Rangers Lose to Phillies: 3-2

This Texas Rangers have sure found themselves in a ton of one-run games recently. Last night was the beginning of interleague play and the Rangers took on the Phillies in Philly. C.J. Wilson took the mound for the Rangers against the great Roy Halladay.

C.J.’s night was pretty solid. Wilson went seven innings, allowed four hits and three runs. We saw a turnaround from recent starts in the strikeout to walk ratio, he had 10 strikeouts and only 2 walks. It was a bummer to see him finally get everything going and have to face Roy Halladay. The Cy Young winner Halladay, wasn’t as good as Wilson. The only big difference was the two runs he allowed as opposed to the three from CJ. Roy six hits and allowed one walk, he also picked up seven strikeouts.

The only actual RBI for the Rangers came from Mitch Moreland, and the other run scored was a steal at home from Elvis Andrus.

The Rangers face Cliff Lee tonight, in the first time the team has faced him since leaving in free agency. Colby Lewis takes the mound for Texas.
