Duffy VS Ogando 2 Preview – There Will Be Blood

facebooktwitterreddit

Just kidding about the blood part, but it should be a great game. Over at Kings of Kauffman Ethan is trying to come up with some nicknames for the Royals – personally I have one for Danny Duffy… it has to be Duff-Man right?

In last meeting between these two starting pitchers the Rangers came out on top. We saw the Duff-Man (it works…KOK can totally use this and I don’t need any credit), he went four innings in his MLB debut, and only allowed two runs on four hits.

In that same game Alexi Ogando went seven and allowed four hits and two runs, but didn’t earn the win. That game like many others between these two teams went into extra innings.

Let us review my prophetic preview yesterday where I said —

"This could be the spark that the Rangers offense needed to get rolling. Aside from short bursts the boys haven’t really found their mojo. With Nelson Cruz and Josh Hamilton back, let’s hope this is a game where they just beat the ball into submission."

Today should be no different, the key to this one will be the Rangers working the count. Make Duff-Man throw a lot of pitches and wear him out early. This one starts at 2:05 on FSSW and ESPN Radio Dallas 103.3.
