Colby Pitches a Gem and Neftali Feliz Doesn’t Give It Away

Rangers win 3 to 0 over the Tampa Bay Rays. Finally, Neftali Feliz was able to not blow a save, he did allow a lead off hit but was able to escape the 9th without losing the game. We had an impressive game from Colby Lewis who went a full eight and a great return from Elvis Andrus, to earn the series win.

Colby Lewis only allowed four hits and two walks and picked up eight strikeouts. Another impressive game from Lewis who was shaky to start the season, it’s refreshing to see him pick things back up again. The Rangers offense was largely stifled by David Price. Price went eight as well allowing only five hits but the three runs to lose the game.

The Rangers have recently buttered their bread with Home Runs, but this was a small ball game to the core. Nelson Cruz hit a double in the fifth to drive in a run. After an Ian KinslerCraig Gentry double steal in the eighth Elvis hit a single to right and scores the other two runs.

Next up…a four game series against the surprising Cleveland Indians, game one is tomorrow at 6:05 central.
