So…after a two plus hour rain delay the good people at FOX decided that cities outside of the DFW area, (I’m in Waco), would not be getting to watch the rest of the game. So forgive a brief recap since I wasn’t able to see the entire game.
Starter Matt Harrison seemed to have his stuff back. The former Atlanta prospect went 6.1 innings, allowed only three hits and three runs (only one of these was earned). He also picked up six strikeouts and only allowed one walk. The Rangers were controversial in allowing Harry to go back out after the rain delay. He had pitched 4.2 innings at that point, but had sat for more than 2 hours.
The game went on into extra innings as the Braves were able to tie the game at 4 in the eighth. Adrian Beltre hit an RBI single in the top of the tenth inning, and Neftali Feliz earned a save in the bottom of the inning. The Rangers earned the series win and will look to sweep the Braves today.
