Rangers Right at Home in Houston

Last night the Rangers guaranteed at least a share of the Silver Boot this season. C.J. Wilson and the Rangers took on Jordan Lyles and the Astros. For the first time in recent history, the Rangers seemed to earn more cheers than the ‘stros. The went on to win 7-3 and lead the series four games to one.

Ian Kinsler, who has been under a heap of criticism lately – was very good tonight. Kinsler was 2 for 3 with three RBIs, two walks, and a solo home-run. Josh Hamilton and Mitch Moreland had home runs as well. A surprising entry in the offense side was C.J. Wilson, who had a triple and a run in the game.

Wilson went seven innings, and allowed seven hits and two runs. He had three strikeouts and allowed two walks. Wilson tried again to bare-hand a ball hit back to him, luckily he walked away unscathed. Tom Grieve on the television side pointed out that he won’t always be that lucky.

Neftali Feliz also surprisingly picked up a save in the game. He entered the ninth inning with two-outs and two-on. Feliz secured the strikeout to earn a very easy save.

Hopefully this is the forward progress the Rangers need, and they could possibly put some distance with the other teams in the AL West.
