Rangers Pick up 10th Win in a Row - Brief Recap

In another late night affair, the Texas Rangers defeated the Seattle Mariners 5 to 1. Ian Kinsler was unstoppable with a leadoff home run in the first inning, and another solo home run in the eighth. Both runs came off of King Felix Hernandez.

C. J. Wilson got the start and gave up one run and five hits through seven innings. This was another game where he didn’t necessarily have his best stuff, and was still able to get the job done. The only run he allowed was an RBI single to Ichiro.

So the Rangers winning streak is currently at 10, and Ian Kinsler has a twelve game hit streak. I think those two must be mutually exclusive right now. This afternoon at 3:10 Rangers’ fans will get a very exciting match-up. Matt Harrison will face former Rangers’ prospect Blake Beavan who is 1 – 0 with a 2.03 ERA. We heard about Beavan for years, and while it’s disappointing to see him with another team – I’m still excited to see him throw.
