Yu in Surprise
“He walked in and introduced himself — really nice guy, really humble,” Pujols said to reporters in Tempa, Ariz. (thanks to Mark Saxon at ESPNLosAngeles.com for sending the quotes). “He just said he’s looking forward to the battle. We’re going to be in the same division and it’s going to be fun.”
I assume that this meeting was planned by Yu. He has said multiple times that he wants and intends to be the best pitcher in the world. What better way to start a season than to introduce yourself to the best hitter in the game.
He also hasn’t reported to Surprise yet, but this isn’t really that big of a deal. Tomorrow is the report date and I’m sure we will hear alot about him then. Until next time, Go Rangers.
UPDATE: Yu Darvish has reported to Surprise and has had some good interaction with his fellow teamates.
