The Rangers will have one more full intersquad match on March 2, 2012 that will be the feature of dual southpaws Harrison and Holland. Then, on March 4, 2012 the Rangers will first step onto the field against an opponent in their Surprise complex facing neighbors the Kansas City Royals with old trusty Colby Lewis on the hill. The rest of the rotation will run Derek Holland, Matt Harrison, Yu Darvish, and then Neftali Feliz most likely. But don’t be disappointed if the rotation changes, this is about health and critique.
On the health and injury front Rangers pitchers Matt West, Joe Beimel, and Kelvin De La Cruz have all had small hiccups in their throwing. No one has been shut down yet and the mechanics are looking strong.
As a reminder this is the first Spring Training for the Rangers pitchers under the eyes of both Nolan Ryan, the Maddux Brothers, and the entire Japanese media.
As Always, Go Rangers!
