I may be completely wrong by skipping number 15 Luis Martinez here, but as much as I think he is a better choice as back up than Yorvit Torrealba is for Mike Napoli, I believe he will start the season in AAA Round Rock. Therefore the next on the list of probable players for the 25 man roster is number 17 Nelson Cruz.
Nellie has the ability to be a premier right fielder in the majors. His performance in the 2011 postseason has put him in the company of some of the greatest players in the history of the game. His 16 homeruns will live on in highlight reels for years to come. Yet his destiny with the Texas was not a given.
I am married to a wonderful woman who relunctantly tolerates baseball. I have three great kids who chase down autographs and foul balls with the best of them.
