The 2012 regular season hasn’t yet started but already2012 is starting out as the year of Darvish. Yu Darvish is coming to the Texas Rangers as the most anticipated Japanese baseball player in the history of the MLB. Unlike most of the Japanese professionals Yu plays like an American and with his ability there should be a long and productive relationship with the Texas Rangers. Number 11 for your Texas Rangers is Japanese sensation Yu Darvish.

Yu Darvish will take up the place of former Texas Ranger CJ Wilson who left to pursue the free agent market. While Darvish has never played in the MLB or the minors as we know them, the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters are of a caliber somewhere between that of the Rangers and the Round Rock Express. Yet his experience isn’t limited to the professional league in Japan. He has been mainstay in the Japanese national team.
