Former Texas Ranger star Steve Buechele will be back in Frisco to lead a club that will be full of Rangers prospects including prospect favorites Jurickson Profar and Mike Olt. DFW area Rangers fan should make their way to Frisco as much as they can to see these wonderful young players.
Ranging over the outfield will be Engel Beltre, Val Majewski, Jared Prince, and Ryan Strausborger. Strausborger is the defending Rangers defensive player of the year.

Frisco’s infield will include Alex Buchholz, Leury Garcia, Chris McGuiness and Guilder Rodriguez. But during most games most of the eyes will be on Jurickson Profar at shortstop and Mike Olt at 1st and 3rd.

Frisco is going with only two catchers, but Myrtle Beach and Hickory are stacked if a need arises. Jose Felix and Zach Zaneski will be behind the plate.

The pitching staff will be loaded with returning players and promoted ones alike. I will be working on their pitching rotation when it becomes available. The staff will be made up of Wilfredo Boscan, Jacob Brigham, Fabio Castillo, Miguel De Los Santos, Justin Grimm, Trevor Hurley, Barret Loux, Tim Murphy, Joe Ortiz, Carlos Pimentel, Tyler Tufts, Johan Yan, and Corey Young.

Brigham, Loux and De Los Santos should be great to watch. Grimm was a personal favorite of mine to watch last year in Hickory. But keep your eyes on Johan Yan to see what he can do as he was under threat of being picked under the Rule V draft in the offseason.

Texas please welcome some of my favorite players in the Carolina League and the South Atlantic League. Congrats on the promotions former Crawdads and Pelicans.

Go RoughRiders and Go Rangers!
