It is likely that the Rangers are looking to see if Jackson can return to his 1st half performance or if his 2nd half will stand as a better tell of what he can do.
The other part of opening day that has me excited is to see what prospect Rougned Odor. Sorry Rangers fans puns will be aplenty if he gets to the majors and is on the club with Yu Darvish and Mark Hamburger.
Odor is young having just turned 18 and this will be his second year with the Rangers organization. The second basemen played 2011 in short season A ball at Spokane. He hit .262/.323/.352 in 58 games. His age has me cautiously optimistic. It will be interesting to see how he takes to a full season of professional baseball.
I will be posting hopefully many photos of the opening night of the Crawdads tomorrow night.
Good luck Crawdads.
