Only in the minor leagues can you have a double header that involves 2 minor league team and 2 college teams. While for most of the Hickory Crawdads versus the Greenville Drive game the stands were 9/10 empty. But as the game started to wind down the faces began to fill up and within a few minutes of the game concluding Clemson Tigers faithful had filled the stadium to almost a three quarters capacity.

In his first start of the year the Hickory Crawdads had Andrew Faulkner on to start the game. Faulkner spent 2011 with the Arizona League Rangers. While he struggled through the 1st two innings he was able to escape with no loss.
