For the first time this season Miguel De Los Santos of the Frisco RoughRiders will be making a start against a team other than the Springfield Cardinals. In his 2 previous starts De Los Santos has been worked pretty hard by the Cardinals. He has given up 6 runs on 11 hits in 9.1 innings pitched. His so/bb ratio is almost 2. The ‘Riders are 8-3 on the season, today’s game is 12 of the year.

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are going with young Cody Buckel. He has been making quite the splash so far this season with 10 shutout innings, 4 hits, 3 walks, and 16 strikeouts. Yet he has been pitch limited and has still not received a decision in either game. It may take a third straight Pelican win to make sure Buckel gets his 1st win with the club. Myrtle Beach has now returned to .500 at 5-5. This will be game 11 for the Pelicans.

Going for the Hickory Crawdads will be LHP Victor Payano. The 19 year old out of the Dominican Republic is on for his 3 outing of the year. His 1-0 record for the season includes a 1.80 ERA. Payano’s last outing was 5.0 inning and he gave up his first earned runs of the year. In his first two outings he allowed 2 hits per outing and is nearly split on walks and strikeouts. The Crawdads are 7-5 on the season and share first place in the SAL North Division. This will be game 13 for the ‘Dads.

Good luck Rangers?
