The Texas Rangers have passed their first test against the Detroit Tigers with yesterday’s 10-3 victory. While Yu Darvish was expected to struggle against the Tigers line up, he did not struggle and with the help of the Rangers offense he was able to get a sure win. With the change in the Rangers rotation tonight’s game against the Tigers will feature LHP Matt Harrisonon the mound. He comes into this game 2-0 with a .64 ERA after 14.0 innings pitched. But it has been 7 days since the last time he pitched, so there may be some initial issues. The Rangers are 11-2; tonight’s game is number 14 on the year.
I am married to a wonderful woman who relunctantly tolerates baseball. I have three great kids who chase down autographs and foul balls with the best of them. I have been a fan of baseball my entire life, literally at a Big Red Machine game while in utero. I love my Texas Rangers since I can remember, I remember Mitch Williams being a Texas Ranger okay? While I am away from Texas I have the pleasure of watching the Rangers prospects playing with the Hickory Crawdads and Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
The Texas Rangers Farm System, past and present is a real treat for me and will be happy to answer any prospect question you may have.
