Series By The Numbers: Athletics @ Rangers

facebooktwitterreddit

It was a tough split in this one. The Rangers dominated the first game, and in the second struggled but still held a lead late in the game. The A’s tied it late and then in extra innings pulled ahead to take the win. The Rangers got to rest their bullpen a little bit more, although the second game of the series put a strain on guys who had pitched several days in a row already.

It also reiterated the fact that they need to have more consistent starts from their starters not named Yu Darvish, who once again was outstanding. Now it is on to interleague play and the Houston Astros for three games on the road.
