After a very up and down home stand, the Rangers travel to finish out the regular season in Oakland. They are one win away from clinching the division for the third straight year; they’ve already clinched a playoff berth by defeating Los Angeles on Sunday night.  Game one of the series will be crucial in helping keep the team on a stable track. Starter Martin Perez will have a serious task in front of him in game one: go as deep into the game as possible and keep the offense in a position to win and get the division in hand as quickly as possible.

Note: Adrian Beltre apparently aggravated a shoulder injury in Sunday’s game one and was taken out of game two after a diving play left him hurting. He said afterwards that he’s not injured and will tough out any pain in order to stick with his team and help them get the division.
