Today Ross Wolf requested the Texas Rangers to release him from his minor league contract. He wants to play ball in Korea next year. He is supposed to be playing for the SK Wyverns in Korea. You can find out more about them here.

Wolf signed as free agent by the Texas Rangers earlier this year on April 27, 2012. The Texas Rangers used Ross Wolf several times this season to help out the injury plagued starting rotation. In his 22 games and 3 starts, he had an ERA of 4.15 and a record of 1 and 3 with the Texas Rangers.

Wolf got his first win in the majors with the Texas Rangers this year.

Ross Wolf was re-signed by the Texas Rangers on Nov. 4, sent to the minors and offered an invite to spring training. Maybe by some chance he’ll be back. I always loved saying bring in the Wolf.  I wish the best of luck to him, he played well in Texas for the role he filled.
