Ortiz was injured at the end of January while in his home country of Venezuela when he was struck by a motorcycle.  The accident fractured his left foot and he’ll be out for about 3 months.  Recently, the Rangers moved Ortiz off the 40 man roster to the 60-day disabled list to make room for pitcher Hanson.
