Adrian Beltre and Elvis Andrus like to joke around on the field together, and that does not seem to have changed in 2014. The two of them were heard heckling each other during the situational hitting drills Sunday in Surprise, AZ. It makes me happy to know that those two guys like to mess with each other, and it makes me think, hearing about all of the fun that they are having, that the team is pretty lose so far. Washington had something to say on the subject of situational hitting yesterday as well.

"“Our weakness the past couple of years going down the stretch has been situational hitting. Having runners in scoring position with less than two and not being able to get them home. Having runners at second base with nobody out and haven’t been able to move them. Having runners with the infield in and not being able to get the ball to the outfield. Having the infield back and not being able to play pepper with the middle of the infield. Those are the little things that killed us the past two years.” Ron Washington, Postcards from Elysian Fields (T.R. Sullivan)"

Neftali Feliz is trying a new set position with his hands set at his belt according to Richard Durrett of ESPN Dallas.

He also threw live batting practice yesterday, along with Alexi Ogando and others. Camp is now in full swing and the first intersquad games will be coming up this week, so we will get to see how the pitchers look actually pitching in games, including Colby Lewis and Tommy Hanson. We should also get news about Matt Harrison today, so stay tuned here for that.

Wash said yesterday that he has no plans to change the Texas Rangers bunt game, and I am sure that twitter blew up. There are a lot of Texas Rangers fans that have been less than excited about the “free outs” the Ron seems to give away during Texas Rangers games.

The Texas Rangers are likely not to be in on Ervin Santana according to Drew Davison on the Ranger Report Podcast Sunday night. He believes that they are going to go with what they already have if Matt Harrison is unable to go, or that they will get a player who is not a big name.

We are all waiting around nervously today as we wait and see what Matt Harrison’s results will be after meeting with the doctor that performed his surgeries. We will post something as soon as we know.
