The Texas Rangers have announced their Opening day festivities.  Hall of Famer and Texas Rangers assistant coach Greg Maddux will throw out the first pitch.  Greg’s brother Mike will catch the first pitch.

The Rangers will take on the Philadelphia Phillies for the season opener on March 31, at 1:05 CT.   The probable pitchers for the day are Yu Darvish and Cliff Lee.

Along with the first pitch, the Texas Rangers have announced that the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will preform the Star-Spangled Banner.  The fly over will be performed by the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison.  They will feature their vintage warbirds.

The Rangers will also continue their tradition of honor the local military with the large flag in center field.

Probably the most important thing fans want to know, when will the parking lots and gates open.  The Rangers have announced that the cash lots will open at 8:00 am and the gates will open at 10:00 am.

Tickets are sold out for Opening day, but there are still chances to see the Philles on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Both games are at 7:05 CT.  April 2 is the first Nolan Ryan Beef Dollar Hot Dog Night of the season as well as Dr Pepper Autograph Wednesday.

Tickets for Rangers 2014 home games can be purchased at texasrangers.com, by calling 972-RANGERS, or at the Globe Life Park in Arlington first base ticket office.
