In a move that surprised many today (including me) the Texas Rangers will designate Adam Rosales for assignment and also Kevin Kouzmanoff is off the team. So who made the team? Josh Wilson, Jim Adduci, Chris Gimenez, Shawn Tollenson and Seth Rosin.
#Rangers‘ Opening Day roster will have four starting pitchers, seven relievers, three catchers, five infielders and six outfielders.

I am very surprised that Rosales will be designated for assignment and that Kevin Kouzmanoff did not make this team, Kouzmanoff had a great spring and I thought deserved a spot, but the Texas Rangers had needs that they didn’t think either of those guys could fill as good as others. This is a very different looking Texas Rangers team than any of us expected, even a few days ago. Sunday the Texas Rangers will officially put Geovany Soto, Jurickson Profar, Yu Darvish and Matt Harrison on the disabled list. Jim Adduci played his way on the team, and was chosen over Kouzmanoff because he brings more speed. I am not sure about only five infielders and six outfielders though. Seems strange, but that is the way that your Texas Rangers will start the season Monday against the Phillies! It’s almost time to play ball, even if we don’t recognize everyone playing.
