Matt Harrison and Colby Lewis to get minor league starts

The Texas Rangers announced that Matt Harrison and Colby Lewis which games they will start for their minor league affiliates.  Both are currently working on building their pitch count and control in order to return to the Texas Rangers starting rotation.

Matt Harrison is schedule to pitch today for the Double-A Frisco Rough Riders in Frisco, at the time of this story, the trap is on the field and storms are entering the area.  It appears more than likely they should pass over and they will get the game in.

Currently the Rangers expect Harrison to return on April 26th.  Matt Harrison has made appearances with the Rough Riders several times. (2008, 2009, 2010 and 2013).

Colby Lewis recently pitched in an intra-squad game on Tuesday.  He was able to get 92 pitches of work in, which is good, because Jon Daniels wants to see him go up to 100 pitches.

Colby Lewis is scheduled to pitch on Sunday for the Triple-A Round Rock Express when they play the Oklahoma City RedHawks.   It was speculated he would return with the Texas Rangers on April 6, now that date appears to be April 11th.
