St. Petersburg, Fla – Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish pitched another stellar game this past Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays and it seemed like it could have been another 0-1 loss.  But Elvis Andrus smashed in 2-run homer to give the Texas Rangers the lead in the 8th inning.

Now you may laugh about saying Darvish could have been charged for the loss, but the Rangers failed to give him any run support last year on more than one occasion.  Last year he pitched 4 0-1 games for a loss.

Elvis has left the building: Elvis isn’t known for hitting the long ball.  Last year he didn’t record his first home run until Aug 10.  Before that home run, he last hit one September 4, 2012.  Almost a year between home run.  So for anyone trying to guess the play, what will Elvis Andrus do here?…no one is saying home run.  But that’s just what Elvis did yesterday off of Joel Peralta.  Andrus had a 3-2 count when Peralta threw a 90-MPH fastball that left the yard.
