Boston, Mass – The Texas Rangers stalled Monday against the Boston Red Sox, but Robinson Chirinos gave them the spark they needed.
Yesterday, the Rangers went 0-8 with runners in scoring position and lost by a score of 1-5 to the Red Sox. Tonight, Robinson Chirinos hit his second career home run off a full count fastball by Felix Douront. It was only one run, but that seemed to be the hit/run that opened the flood gates for the Rangers.
Home run! Robinson Chirinos hits his 1st homer since 2011 and ends the #Rangers’ home run drought as they take a 1-0 lead in the 3rd.

Chirinos has kept on fire for the night by getting a bases loaded walk, and a double. He could be the first Ranger catcher to hit for the single since Bengie Molina did it on 7/16/2010 against the Red Sox at Fenway.
