Adrian Beltre left tonight’s game with a tight quad according to reports during the game. Beltre was having himself a pretty good game before he exited early, and to me this is a bad sign since he wasn’t even playing third base tonight. Beltre has a line of .240/.367/.320/.687 with 5 walks and 2 RBI. Beltre was the designated hitter in this evenings line-up before exiting in the fifth innings of the game.

Adrian Beltre seems to be having more and more leg problems and the seasons wear on. He was never really 100% in 2013, yet he still led the Texas Rangers in both home runs and RBI. He may start playing a little more designated hitter, as this is an injury that he struggled with during spring training as well.

Adrian Beltre is still one of the best third baseman in the game, and I still believe that he has some good years left in him, but tonight with him only DH’ing, it is a bad sign that he had to leave. He will fly to Texas tomorrow to get an exam on the left quad. We will keep you posted here if any more news breaks about Adrian’s situation.
