The Texas Rangers have called up two of the biggest names from the minor league system today. Luis Sardinas and Rougned Odor have been called up to try and shake up this Texas Rangers team that has been struggling mightily as of late. According to sources, the Texas Rangers have placed Donnie Murphy on the disabled list with a strained neck and designated Wilson and Baker for assignment.

The Texas Rangers offense has been stagnant since the blow out of the Angels on Sunday, and all three games have been against the incredibly hot hitting Colorado Rockies, and it appears that with the injury to Murphy, the Texas Rangers front office were ready to see if an infusion of young blood could help this team going forward. This is a team that has been bipolar both at the plate and on the mound so far in 2014. Luis Sardinas and Rougned Odor are both exciting young players and it should be really fun to watch them up with the big club. The Texas Rangers have also called up pitcher Justin Germano. Exciting news on a rainy afternoon for Texas Rangers fans!
