Twins, Tigers & Indians Highlight Rangers Top 5 June Tickets

The Texas Rangers have 15 home games in June, with 10 games against teams from the AL Central. Not a single AL West opponent visits Globe Life Park in the month, and there are only two weekend series at home. Only eight games are against teams above .500 and only one series is against a team leading their division. Two of the games are against an NL opponent in the Miami Marlins. That all helps explain why the average price of Texas Rangers tickets for the month is just $55.59.

1) 6/28 vs. Minnesota Twins | Avg. Price: $83.68 | Get-in Price: $9

The first game on the list is a Saturday afternoon game against the Minnesota Twins. The day and time are probably a better explanation than the involvement of the sub-.500 Twins. The average price is 51 percent higher than the month’s average, and even the $9 get-in price is easily the highest number on the list.

2) 6/25 vs. Detroit Tigers | Avg. Price: $76.71 | Get-in Price: $4

The only non-weekend game to land on this list also features the only true high-profile opponent of the month. The Detroit Tigers have been one of the best teams in baseball and were involved in a blockbuster swap with the Rangers during the offseason. So far it looks like the Tigers got the better end of that deal, as second baseman Ian Kinsler is having a great season, while Prince Fielder struggled to start the year for the Rangers, and is now likely done for the rest of the season. But it’s more than the matchup that has made this game 38 percent higher than the month’s average at $76.71, it’s also $1 hot dog day at the park.

3) 6/29 vs. Minnesota Twins | Avg. Price: $73.13 | Get-in Price: $4

Another weekend matinee against the Minnesota Twins is the third game on the list. It’s also the only game on this list with a giveaway for the fans. The item is an Adrian Beltre bat, but that’s not enough to drive the get-in price higher than $4. While the average price is 32 percent higher than the June average at $73.13, that’s still more than $10 less than the average for the game on Saturday.

4) 6/6 vs. Cleveland Indians | Avg. Price: $72.02 | Get-in Price: $5

The only other weekend series at home on the schedule for the Rangers has two games on this list. The first is this Friday night game with the Cleveland Indians. Like the Twins, the Indians have struggled so far this season. They are in last place in the division, despite grabbing a wild card spot last season. Tickets are 30 percent higher than the June average at $72.02, and the get-in price is $5.

5) 6/7 vs. Cleveland Indians | Avg. Price: $69.36 | Get-in Price: $3

The next day’s afternoon game is the final to make the list. The get-in price of $3 is the lowest on the list, and the average price is the only one to dip below $70. Tickets are 25 percent above the June average at $69.36.
