Miles Mikolas to make his Texas Rangers debut

Miles Mikolas will make his Texas Rangers debut tonight against the Baltimore Orioles.  He’ll be the 11th different starting pitcher (24th different pitcher overall) the Rangers have used this season.  It is the most different starting pitchers used in the American League.  The Colorado Rockies have used 12 different starting pitchers.

It really comes as  no surprise that the Rangers have recalled Mikolas after Joe Saunders had another awful outing.   It will be up to Mikolas tonight to stop another Rangers losing streak, which currently sits at 3-games (lost last 7 road games).

This is the second time that Miles Mikolas has been with the Texas Rangers this year.  He was called up back on May 14 and placed in the bullpen, but he didn’t appear in a game.  On May 17 he was optioned back to the Round Rock Express.
