Texas Rangers Lose Another Rain Shortened Game

The Texas Rangers don’t have much luck when it comes to bad weather in the 2014 season. Then again, the Rangers have not had good luck when it comes to good weather games either. Last night the game was tied 3-3 when the rain started settling in around the 6th inning of last nights contest against the White Sox.

Nick Martinez looked good at first but struggled as the game moved on, allowing 5 runs over 5 plus innings. The White Sox number 9 hitter Tyler Flowers had a home run, triple and single. Martinez just couldn’t figure him out.

The Texas Rangers now sit at 43-69 and are easily on the road to a 100 loss season. Mike Carp made his Texas Rangers debut last night going 0-2 with one walk. Less than impressive in my opinion. The Texas Rangers are going through pitchers and first baseman like they are going out of style, and nothing is seeming to stick.

The Rangers have two more against the White Sox with Colby Lewis on the hill tonight and Nick Tepesch on the hill tomorrow night. I hope one of them can get the job done.

Another note from last night is that Derek Holland had a very bad rehab start in Round Rock last night giving up 4 runs on 4 hits in one inning of work. The Express still rallied to win the game however.
