The Texas Rangers offense rebounded big time against the Yankees last night scoring 10 runs in the win.

On The Mound

The Texas Rangers sent AJ Griffin to the mound Tuesday night against the New York Yankees as they looked to stop a three-game skid that had put there record back to .500 on the year. Griffin pitched an absolute gem giving the Rangers more than enough to win the game. Griffin went 8 innings allowing just four hits and giving up a single run. Griffin also just walked one batter while striking out five Yankees. Tony Barnette threw the ninth inning for the Texas Rangers allowing the Yankees just two hits and no runs giving the Rangers the win.

At The Plate

The Texas Rangers offense, which has been struggling over the past four games, rebounded against the Yankees last night. As a whole, Texas put together thirteen hits along with their ten runs. The Rangers put together five extra base hits on the day with doubles from Beltre, Andrus and Nicholas. Rougned Odor and Ian Desmond both hit their third homeruns of the season in the 10-1 win as well.

Mazara went 2-4 on the day continuing his strong season at the top of the order. His on-base percentage is up to .426 this season, tops on the Rangers team. Elvis Andrus upped his average .343 this year going 3-4 on the with a run scored and an RBI. Desmond continued to stay hot going 2-3 on the day and is now hitting .211 this season.
