Texas Rangers April Report Card

Overall team grade: C+

It’s been a tough start for the Texas Rangers. But, let’s cut them some slack. After all, their expectations are far from World Series or bust. This is a team that is taking the season game by game, waiting to determine a direction.

They don’t have a postseason capable rotation or bullpen. The bullpen has potential, but it is far from a refined product. Ultimately, all the Rangers could hang their hat on was a legitimate offense. Yet, even that has been derailed by unfair injuries.

One month in, there is ample time to get some momentum going. A successful May will result in an overall record that is a few games from .500. As for April, the Texas Rangers were a C+ team.
