Diamondbacks vs. Rangers prediction and pick
Jordan Montgomery has been lights out this postseason and I see no reason why that won't continue today. It also helps that the Diamondbacks have struggled against left-handed pitchers this season.
From the All-Star Break to the end of the regular season, the Diamondbacks ranked 24th in Major League Baseball in OPS when facing lefties with a mark of .687. Their OPS has got even worse against lefties in the postseason, sporting a mark of .658 in 112 at-bats.
That's going to give a huge advantage to the Rangers, especially when you consider they've overall had the much better offense in the playoffs, sporting an overall OPS of.828 compared to .724 of the Diamondbacks.
I'm willing to bet the Rangers to once again get the job done tonight and take a 2-0 lead in the World Series.
