Ian Kinsler has been reinstated from paternity leave and will be active for this afternoon’s game that is scheduled to start in less than one hour. Kinsler will be in the leadoff spot in the hitting lineup and will be back at his starting position in the infield at second base. Kinsler feels completely rested after having missed three games for the birth of son Jack, who was born on Wednesday, and is hoping that being well rested will allow him to up his production on the road. I think that’s a hope we all have, Kins. Kinsler has been hitting .127 on the road and .333 in Arlington. Let’s all hope that he gets back to his old ways and starts off the game well for the Rangers tonight with a homer!

To make room for Ian on the roster, Chris Davis was optioned back to AAA Round Rock. And with that, here are the starting lineups for the game this afternoon in Minnesota against the Twins. As you’ll be able to see, Josh Hamilton will get a day off in the outfield by DHing today.
