Jurickson Profar

Profar started off the season very well for the Tigres del Licey and was leading in batting average has come down recently.   He is still 4th in on base percentage and has batting average of .284 and an on base percentage of .439.  Profar hasn’t played since Nov 17, probably because he has struggle a bit at the plate, but he has managed to draw some walks over his recent 10 games.   Over his last 10 games, his batting average has been only a .161 while his on base percentage has been a .435.  The Texas Rangers 2012 number 1 prospect should be able to find his swing and finish strong in winter ball.

Neftali Feliz

Feliz has been on the Toros del Este for a while now and has finally managed to get some playing time.  Neftali Feliz has appeared in two games so far, one on November 20 and the other on November 23.  Feliz pitched mid reliever on the 20th in the 4th inning and managed to get a quick fly ball and 2 outs.  On the 23rd, came in during the 8th inning and managed to get 2 pop outs and a strikeout.  It is expected that Feliz will be on top of the list for the Texas Rangers closer for 2014

Jim Adduci

Adduci is also playing with on the Toros del Este and has also played well over his last 10 games.  He is batting .281 over his last 10 games and went 1 for 3 last night.  He’s had plenty of playing time with 20 games and 72 at bats to bring his season average to .264.  Adduci ranks 16th in batting average in the league and 18th in on base percentage.  Adduci has been playing mainly right field in the Dominican Winter League.  He could be a player that could play left field next season to take over for David Murphy.

The Dominican All-star game is in just a few weeks on Sunday, December 8.
