This week on the Ranger Report Podcast, Ben and David began the show by talking about all of the injury news that came out of Texas Rangers camp this week. It has been hashed and re-hashed all week here and on many other sites, but David and Ben re-hash it one more time and discuss what it means going forward.
After that discussion, the guys play an interview that David Cash had with Drew Davison of the Forth Worth Star Telegram from spring training, and Drew gives his take on all the events that happened so far this spring for the Texas Rangers, including injury news and the amazing spring that Colby Lewis is having so far. Drew and David also discuss how Adrian Beltre and Elvis Andrus are back at picking at eachother already and camp has just started.
The guys take the time to talk about Colby and what his health could potentialy mean to the Texas Rangers, who may be lacking two of the main pitchers they were counting on, and the also talk about the potential impact that Tommy Hanson and Daniel Bard could have if they pitch well this spring. It will have to be seen what kind of work those guys get in as spring training games start this week.
Afte that they discussed what replay will be like this season, and in order to better talk about that David Cash had an interview with Casey Moser, and the guys play that interview. Moser discusses replay, what it was like umpiring in the bigs and what some of his favorite and least favorite things about being an umpire were. He also gives a perspective on umpires “showing up” managers and players.
