Yu Darvish was slated to start a minor league game today but that is no longer the case. According to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News, Darvish blames the neck soreness on sleeping wrong.

"“Darvish blamed the incident, which cropped up Thursday, for “sleeping wrong.” He said it will not impact his ability to start the season opener on March 31 against Philadelphia.”"

It appears to be nothing more than that, but with all the injuries that the Texas Rangers have been going through this spring, the last thing that all of us want to hear about is Yu Darvish missing anything except bats with his pitches.

"“If I have two or three days of rest, I’ll be ready to make my next start,” Darvish said Friday morning. “I’ve covered almost everything that I wanted to, so, as far as a setback, I don’t think so. I think I’m ready to go.” Dallas Morning News"

My gut tells me that Yu Darvish will be fine for opening day and beyond, but the rest of me is screaming “NOOOO!” or something along those lines. I feel like Yu Darvish is just taking a little rest before the season begins. As he said, he feels like he has done all that he needs to do to get ready. Not something to panic about at this point, but anything about Darvish is most definitely news worthy.
