Texas Rangers Opening Day Information

HELLO TEXAS RANGERS FANS! The day is finally upon us. Texas Rangers Opening Day and I for one am very excited to see what our Texas Rangers are going to do this season. Even though I’m now misplaced in Northern California, smack-dab in the middle of A’s and San Francisco Giants country (ugh!), I am still a Texan and I will always be happy when the Rangers are playing baseball! Some of you will be attending the game while others will be at home watching or worse at work! No matter what your plans are for this glorious day I have the information that might come in handy for the best day of the year: TEXAS RANGERS OPENING DAY!

If you are going to the Texas Rangers Opening Day game here is what you need to know:

GAME TIME: 1:05 p.m. CDT

PARKING:  The Globe Life (I really think I’m going to omit Globe Life throughout this post) Park in Arlington cash parking lots will open at 8:00 a.m. The Rangers will offer cash parking in the AT&T Stadium Lots 12-13 (southwest of the A Lot) as well as the regular cash lots. In addition, Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, and the Arlington Convention Center will be offering cash parking in their lots on Monday.

*Jerry Jones has struck again! AT&T Way will be closed between Randol Mill Road and Cowboys Way during the Philadelphia Phillies series due to preparations for the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship at AT&T Stadium the following weekend. As a result, parking will not be available in AT&T Stadium Lot 4 on opening day. Thank you Mr. Jones for making this more congested than it already is on a REGULAR game day.*

HOV RAMP: The Westbound T-Ramp on I-30 will be open from 10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Monday for traffic coming to Globe Life Park. The T-Ramp will be open Eastbound onto I-30 from 3:30 until 6:00 p.m. for traffic exiting the game.

The Park in Arlington Gates Open at 10:00 a.m. The following schedule from texasrangers.com states the times for the festivities inside The Globe Life Park in Arlington:

10:15 a.m.-Rangers Batting Practice

11:15 a.m.-Phillies Batting Practice

12:43 p.m.-Rangers Introductions

12:51 p.m.-National Anthem by Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra

12:56 p.m.-Ceremonial First Pitch by Greg Maddux (Caught by Mike Maddux)

1:05 p.m.-Game time, Phillies vs. Rangers
