The Texas Rangers designated Michael Kirkman for assignment and no one took him, so as of today he is out righted to AAA Round Rock. Kirkman had a good start to his spring, but not a good finish and many Texas Rangers fans are done with him. He has not been good when he has pitched at the major league level, and I totally expect him to pitch well at Round Rock, because he always seems to pitch well at Round Rock.

For those of you that were wondering why Chris Gimenez made the team, it was becuase he had too. He is now no longer with the team, as they have designated him for assignment on day 2 of the season.

Gimenez was picked up so late in spring training that the Texas Rangers had to keep him for a certain amount of time, and that amount of time is now up. Gimenez will most likely land somewhere else and not clear waivers.

The Texas Rangers have also purchased Daniel McCutchen as he will join the team to try and help out that bull pen that struggled mightly last night in Arlington. Stay tuned to Nolan Writin for all your Texas Rangers news and opinion. Thanks!
