Texas Rangers Minor League Standouts on the Mound

Yesterday we looked at the Texas Rangers minor league standouts at the plate, so it is only natural that today I would look at the players who are excelling on the mound. The Texas Rangers are building a good farm system, and it has shown in the majors so far in 2014. I know that they are under .500 and they are not winning many series these days, but when a team has the amount of young talent at the major league level, you have to expect some of that. The Texas Rangers are fielding a few veteran players around a very young team. That being said, let’s see who will is performing well in the minors on the mound!

Myrtle Beach Pelicans:

Starting Pitching:

Andrew Faulkner – 4-1, 2.20 ERA, 64 K and 25 BB in 65.1 innings pitched.

Sam Wolff – 7-3, 2.60 ERA, 49 K and 37 BB in 79.2 innings pitched.

Alex Gonzalez – 5-2, 2.62 ERA, 49 K and 16 BB in 65.1 innings pitched. (Chi Chi is now with the Frisco Rough Riders)

Luis Parra – 5-4, 4.38 ERA, 35 K and 31 BB in 78.0 innings pitched.

The Bull Pen

Jose Monegro – 0.00 ERA, 5 K and 1 BB in 13.0 innings pitched.

Alex Claudio – 1.12 ERA, 55 K and 9 BB in 48.1 innings pitched.

Abel De Los Santos – 1.84 ERA, 19 K and 9 BB in 14.2 innings pitched.
