On this week’s addition of The Ranger Report Podcast, there was a whole lot of bad to talk about with the way that the road trip went for the Texas Rangers. Ben, David and C.J. talk about the failed road trip and what it means for the team and for the rest of the 2014 season. They talk about the good things and the bad things that happened, and how the Texas Rangers are not in a rebuilding mode, but more of a re-tooling mode.

David had the chance to interview Brett Martin, Texas Rangers pitching prospect and recent draft pick, and the guys air that interview. Brett talks about what it was like to be drafted and what it is like now that he is in Arizona beginning his professional career.

The guys set some time out to discuss Richard Durrett and Ben and David share some memories of the man that was one of the good guys in sports journalism. C.J. also talks about it from the sportswriter side of things, and then they recomend that you donate here to the Richard Durrett Family Fund.

The crew then discusses the upcoming home stand and what the Texas Rangers need to accomplish on it, they look at the Tigers series and the Twins Series, and then of course hand out their picks for best of the week and worst of the week.
