Last night the Texas Rangers were beat down by the Detroit Tigers, but that didn’t stop third baseman Adrian Beltre from collection hit number 2,500.

We all know that Adrian Beltre can hit, but last night he was the Texas Rangers offense, going 4-4 with the team’s only RBI. The Rangers are in the middle of a significant skid, losing 6 in a row.

"“…it’s hard to be losing four, five in a row. It’s not fun, it’s not fun. We have to find a way to create more runs — running, hit and run, whatever it is, we have to find a way to get our offense going collectively. We’re not doing enough to win ballgames collectively, that’s the bottom line.” Adrian Beltre on TexasRangers.com"

Beltre did his part, getting hits 2,500 – 2.503 of his career last night. The rest of this team just needs to catch up. I still enjoy watching Texas Rangers baseball, even though it is tough to watch at the moment. Adrian Beltre is part of the reason that this team is still fun to watch. The man loves to play baseball and it shows on the field every day that he is out there.

2,500 hits is a big deal, now we will have to see if he can join the 3,000 hit club in a couple of seasons.
