Texas Rangers ace pitcher Yu Darvish was scheduled to have an MRI earlier this week, but it has been pushed back until early next week. That’s not any reason to be alarmed.
#Rangers elbow updates: Yu Darvish won't have his MRI until early next week, and Alexi Ogando has decided to not pitch in winter ball.

More than likely the MRI will come back clean and Darvish will be able to start his offseason pitching program. Jon Daniels basically stated earlier this week he expect Darvish to be healthy and ready to go.
Yu Darvish is scheduled to visit the Rangers and workout this week.

Yu Darvish was side-lined late in the season and was placed on the disabled list back in August due to right elbow inflammation. It was noticeable he wasn’t pitching well, especially when he pitched against the Houston Astros. Hopefully everything on the upcoming MRI will come back clean and Darvish is able to get back on track and be ready by spring training.
Last season Darvish posted a 3.06 ERA over 22 starts/144.1 innings with a record of 10-7. It should be noted that his record again reflects poor run support as it did in 2013. If the Rangers are going to be true contenders in 2015 they’ll need Yu Darvish to continue to be the ace and hopefully be healthy for the duration of the season.
